People and Global Capability at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre
A large team from the People and Global Capability team trekked to the Perth Hills to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre for their team volunteering day. The organisation’s primary work is focused on rescuing and rehabilitating wild black cockatoos in distress. Most of the cockatoos have either been shot, struck by vehicles, fallen, pulled from their nests, or attacked by ravens, cats, or other birds. The centre also houses other native animals for educational purposes, such as Dingos and Emus.
