AOU team at Native ARC
The third group of the Australian Operating Unit volunteered their time at Native ARC. The day started with all hands on deck weeding throughout an area which will be transformed into an enclosure for Native ARC’s new mystery animals. The team powered through the weeding and quickly moved onto the next tasks, which included mulching the area, paving, moving heavy pieces of fencing to designated areas and tidying up the kangaroo enclosure.
The day was filled with a lot of hard work and despite the warm and humid weather the team completed all allocated tasks ahead of schedule!
One volunteer expressed that some of the positive outcome from the day were:
“ Effective team work, collaboration and networking."
A day out at Native ARC would not be complete without a tour around the site to meet the resident animals, such as the Kangaroos and Joeys, cockatoos, tawny frog mouth, magpies and ducklings!
