Contracts and Procurementt at Juniper Rowethorpe

The C&P Excellence team spent their team volunteering day at Juniper Rowethorpe. The day started off with a warm welcome from Juniper staff who explained the myriad of services the organisation offer their clients and families. The team were then split into groups and allocated to either window washing, tidying a storage room, watering plants or high-pressure washing the pathways surrounding the independent living homes.

The team briefly broke for morning tea and continued on with their allocated tasks, many residents and staff passing by stopped to express their appreciation for the volunteers time and hard work. After completing their tasks, the volunteers were treated to a delicious thank you roast lunch.

The lovely sunny afternoon was spent playing a game of lawn bowls with the residents, which both the residents and C&P team thoroughly enjoyed!

One volunteer noted the lawn bowl activity in particular sparked:

“ Immense appreciation and positive interaction with residents .”

The positive outcomes reported by the team were:

“ Humbling to give my time.”

and

“Making some of the residents smile.”
