Finance team at Native ARC
A group of 11 volunteers from the Finance team spent their team volunteering day at Native ARC. This team had never before been to Native ARC and were very lucky to be greeted by Native ARC’s newly arrived Dingo puppies during the team’s morning briefing. After the interaction with the inquisitive pups, the team were given their tasks for the day and broken up into groups.
One group was allocated to Vinnie the wombat’s enclosure and worked on installing raised garden beds into the enclosure. Two volunteers worked tirelessly to relocate several heavy limestone blocks out of the enclosure, which helped to free up more space within the enclosure for Vinnie to roam and burrow.
The second team ploughed through Native ARC grounds, weeding and tidying up overgrown patches throughout the site. Woodside volunteers spent time with Native ARCs regular volunteers and prepared the animals food which involved preparing the right portions of fruit, nuts and meats for each animal.
“ Had a great experience knowing we had helped towards the wombat’s enclosure.”
After lunch the team were treated to a meet and greet tour around the site and met some of the animals, including Vinnie the Wombat! Dean from Native ARC commennted how its':
“Always a pleasure to work with Woodside.”
