RESM Producing Assets help sort through donations at the Homeless Connect Warehouse

Homeless Connect Perth is a one day event based on a one-stop-shop model of immediate service provision to homeless people. It is a partnership between Volunteering WA and the City of Perth, bringing together volunteers, government organisations, community groups and local businesses to provide a diverse range of free essential services to people experiencing or who are at risk of homelessness.

The RESM Producing Assets team visited the Homeless Connect warehouse to help the warehouse team sort through several bags and boxes of donations for the event. Donations ranged from woman’s, children’s, baby’s and men’s clothing, to home wares, books and food.

The warehouse receive a number of donations every week and in order to have everything ready for the event the warehouse team depend on the help of volunteers to help sort through and allocate donations to the appropriate location.

The warehouse staff were amazed with how efficient and effective the team worked through the donations and were truly grateful for their help.

Thank you!
