The Science Teachers Association of WA (STAWA) convenes and facilitates professional learning for teachers of science, develops and disseminates exemplary science learning and teaching resources, ensures recognition of quality teachers and students of science, and advocates for members, teachers of science and science education.
Earth Science WA supports teaching of earth science in schools through the provision of teaching and learning resources, professional development for teachers, presenting at schools, and taking students out for field experiences. ESWA was looking for ways to utilise social media and their website in a more modern way for engaging with a range of audiences including teachers, sponsors and students.
CLAN Midland is a Family Support Service for families from Forrestfield to Bullsbrook who may be experiencing challenges with parenting, feeling socially isolated, or have special needs within their family. CLAN Midland was established in 1993 and is committed to providing both practical and emotional support to families, coaching them to function independently and make healthy positive choices for themselves.
The Samaritans is a Western Australian based not for profit organisation working towards a society in which fewer people die by suicide. Based in Subiaco, their confidential 24/7 crisis and emotional support helpline is available to callers both locally and nationally. The Samaritans also undertake Outreach with corporate organisations and small business, schools and community groups. They have approximately 100 trained telephone support volunteers who provide support to people in crisis.
